Swedish Flower Hens

Partridge Cuckoo and Cuckoo Silkies

Soft, furry, and friendly the Silkie chickens are a cute little chickens. They are great for children because they are super friendly and easy to handle. They are fair layers that tend to go broody. They are good mothers that will foster other chicks.
Blue, Black and Splash Marans

We are proud to offer the French Black Copper Marans. Marans originally came from crosses between local marsh chickens and gamecocks brought into French sea ports. Gradually they were bred to produce an elegant looking bird that you see today. Roosters of the black copper Marans have rich copper colored hackles on a black body, which has a lustrous green shine. Hens are black with copper specks in their hackles. Both have lightly feathered legs. The blue Marans look just like the blacks but their bodies are a blue color. The splash Marans are a light gray almost white with dark blue- gray spots.
Marans are a great dual purpose breed, that is especially known for its ability to lay dark coppery chocolate eggs. Marans also have excellent meat qualities, with roosters weighing in around 8 pounds. We have the Wade Jeane and Hodges Farms blood lines.
Mottled Japanese Bantams

Japanese bantams are one of the true bantam breeds. They were developed in Japan, where they are known as Chabo, meaning “dwarf”. Japanese are bred for their distinct V shaped bodies and short legs. They are a very active bred, that enjoys foraging. They are not cold hardy, and are hard to hatch due to a lethal gene. This lethal gene controls their shot legs, which the bred is known for.

Hello,
I was looking for about 3 Orphington chicks, do you have any left? Thanks

We do not have a catalog as we are really small, sorry. If you call we can get the prices for you. We currently are only shipping eggs. Our number is 605-214-1976
i have some blue marans in incubator now, question is do i have to have all blue to keep the color? if not what do i breed with to keep blue? how much do you charge for 12 eggs shipped to sterling ks, when weather is right, you have a diffrent breed line than the ones i’m hatching, is that ok to add to a flock?
Blue Marans do not bred true. If you bred to Blue Marans together the chicks will be 50% Blue Marans, 25% Blue Splash Marans, and 25% Black Marans. To get 100% Blue Marans you cross the Black to the Splash.
We have Wade Jean and Hodges Farm Bloodlines.
We currently do not have eggs for sale as the ladies are not laying vary many eggs due to the cold. This spring we will have hatching eggs to ship and baby chicks for local pick up.
Hope this helps.
Happy Hatching
We are interested in your Japanese bantams. Would you happen to have a 6mo or so pair my daughter can train for the fair? She had a white black tailed bantam pair she showed last year & we lost them last fall due to age or worms. What do you charge for them? I am also interested in your Swedish hens. Where is Hudson located at? I am in Sioux City, IA.
