Peafowl

Peafowl are one of the most beautiful of all the birds, the males stunning display of feathers can span up to six feet. Peafowl are known to have long lifespans, upward of twenty years. There are more than one hundred different colors of peafowl.

We first got into peafowl in 2010. What started out as a hobby has quickly grown into much more! We started out with the Black Shoulder variety. We purchased our black shoulders locally in South Dakota. Now, we have about 12 different colors.

Hello, I bought 8 peahen eggs from you on ebay and today I candled them (day 11). 6 out of 8 are developing. The 7th I wasn’t sure and the 8th looked blank. I am happy with this considering they shipped in a heat wave. I have the relative humidity set at 60 %. Could you advise me on how much I should increase this during hatching? Any other suggestions to increase survival odds would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Debra
